I have been in the makeup industry for over a decade and have enjoyed every minute of it.  I graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelors Degree in Communication Studies but always knew that my passion was here in the makeup world.

 

After graduating, I had the chance to travel to California to study with Lebec Deweese Makeup Atelier.  Lebec's instruction was invaluable, but most importantly she gave me the confidence in myself and my makeup abilities to return to Chicago and pursue my dream job with M.A.C Cosmetics.  

 

Upon returning to Chicago, I applied for a position with M.A.C and got the job! I Started working at Nordstrom and couldn't have been happier.  

 

In addition to working at Nordstrom, I had the opportunity to work with Rusk and Babyliss Pro at America's Beauty Show.  This event was such an awesome experience - it was so exhilarating to work in such a fast-paced environment.

 

Working for M.A.C allowed me to focus on further developing my makeup skills.  I soon realized that my true joy was in making brides feel their absolute best on their wedding day.  I wanted to be a part of making their day truly special.

 

It wasn't long before I started to specialize in wedding makeup, which brings me to today :)

 

I love what I do - makeup is my art! There is nothing like the feeling of seeing someone's eyes light up after they see their makeup in the mirror.  To brighten someone's day in any way is truly something special.
